A finding tag that estimates location via Bluetooth, UWB and the Find My network rather than GPS. It needs no subscription and its CR2032 battery lasts about a year, but it only updates when an Apple device is nearby.

Pros

  • No subscription and a user-replaceable battery lasting about a year
  • Easy to find in busy areas via the Find My network
  • IP67-rated, light at 11 g, and readily available in Japan

Cons

  • No GPS; without a nearby Apple device it cannot locate, so it is weak for outdoor lost-pet tracking
  • Not designed for pets, needs a separate collar case, and requires an iPhone (no Android)
